For over 100 years, Red Barn Guest Ranch has proudly claimed Western Colorado as home. When our next-door neighbors in Glenwood Springs and New Castle enjoy a good celebration, we always try to join in. Summer of Music

Glenwood Springs hosts a free 6-week concert series each summer in Two Rivers Park. This year, the season runs from June 28-August 2 every Wednesday from 6:30-9:00PM.

New Castle

Burning Mountain Festival

Since 1973, the Burning Mountain Festival has been New Castle's signature annual event. The festival showcases the town's mining history and features a parade, musical performances, craft and food vendors, a classic car show, kid's carnival, and pancake breakfast.

Winter Events

Ski Resort Season

We are surrounded by some of the best skiing in North America! Aspen, Vail, Arapahoe Basin, Copper Mountain, and more are just within a short drive from the Guest Ranch. Ski season varies by resort, but here in the Rockies, it typically opens in mid-November and lasts until early April. Check with each resort to find out when their season officially starts. 

New Castle

New Castle Tree Lighting, Craft Fair and Chili Cook-off

Join the town of New Castle in Burning Mountain Park each December for a competitive chili cook-off, craft fair, and holiday tree lighting.

Ski Spree

Each February, Sunlight Mountain Resort and the City of Glenwood Springs team up to host a weekend extravaganza celebrating winter fun. With a variety of events on the slopes at Sunlight, a fireworks show, and a chili cook-off, Ski Spree is winter fun for the whole family.
